2020 Niue GUAN YU Chinese Heroes 2oz Silver Antique Coin
The first coin of the new series "Chinese Heroes" features Guan Yu. He is one of the most famous historical figures of ancient China. He lived from 162 to 219 B.C. He was an outstanding general, showing courage, honesty and wisdom. He was famous for his extraordinary loyalty.
He was worshiped by the Chinese to this meeting, that after his death he was proclaimed a god. He is still venerated today, especially in southern China. Figures with his figure are found in most Chinese homes.
